Vasculight HR™ & Epilight Laser Systems

Vasculight HR

Nearly 80 million men and women in the US suffer from varicose veins. The Vasculight system offers a non-invasive mean to deal with unsightly veins. Intense pulsed light can reach the deep, large varicose veins. In addition, both light and dark skinned may use the Vasculight laser individuals without any negative effects.

Varicose veins are blue, sometimes bulging veins caused by the weakening of the valves that help push blood back to the heart. Advanced, untreated varicose veins can result in venous statis ulcers, a condition where poor circulation causes the skin to receive insufficient oxygen, bringing about an ulcer; phlebitis, an inflammation of the vein; or thrombosis, a condition where blood clots form in an enlarged vein.

No one knows exactly what causes varicose veins, although heredity, hormonal changes, and pregnancy seem to contribute to the condition. Leg vein laser is a non-invasive medical procedure that uses light to treat vascular conditions like spider and varicose veins. Many leg veins need multiple treatments that can take place over a few months.

Understanding laser treatment

A laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light. Different types of lasers produce different colors of light. The color of light produced by a particular laser is the key to its effect on hair follicles.

The light emitted by the Laser is absorbed by the pigment in hair follicles. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment, disabling several follicles at a time to eliminate or significantly impede the hair's re-growth.

Hair's active growth phase is called anagen. During anagen, the hair contains an abundance of melanin.
Catagen is the regression phase when the lower part of the hair stops growing but is not shed, and the follicle is reabsorbed.
The resting phase is called telogen, during which the old hair falls out in preparation for the development of new hair.

What you can expect

The length of a laser session may be a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area being treated. Because the laser tends to treat hair follicles that are in an active growth phase, more than one treatment may be required to disable hair follicles that subsequently enter this growth phase.

Laser treatment itself may cause a slight tingling sensation. Most patients tolerate the procedure well. But because some areas of the body are more sensitive than others, topical anesthesia is always available.

The appearance of the treated area immediately after a laser session will vary from patient to patient depending on the extent of treatment and skin type. Immediate after-effects, if any, are minor. They may include redness and swelling, which disappear in a short time. Most people return to normal activity right away. We will be happy to tell you more about your treatment and what you can expect during your consultation.

Epilight

For many men and women, unwanted hair can be a nightmare.

Until now, the only options for removing unwanted hair were sharp razors, stinging wax, or painful electrolysis needles. Epilight advanced approach to beautiful skin, a technique that's even more advanced than laser systems, provides the ultimate solution. Using a pulsed light source called Photo-Epilation, Epilight can quickly and permanently remove hair from almost every area of the body. Now, men and women alike will be pleased with the results made possible by our Epilight Hair Removal process.

Can you tell me more about the Epilight Hair Removal process?

The FDA-approved Epilight process involves Photo-Epilation, a system that involves the use of an intense pulsed-light delivered from a hand-held crystal, to remove unwanted hair gently. You'll never have to shave or wax again, and your skin will feel and look smoother. Epilight wide beams treat larger areas such as the back, shoulders, arms, legs, and face rather than treating one hair at a time. You'll love Epilight because it is a fast, safe, gentle and effective alternative for hair removal. Below is a brief description of the process:

bulletFirst, light is transmitted 1-5 millimeters into the skin.
bulletEpilight targets the hair follicle pigment.
bulletEpilight destroys the hair shaft and root.
bulletHair does not grow back after it is destroyed, but several treatments are required to achieve maximum benefit.

This chart shows the depth of hair follicles for different parts of the body. Epilight can be adjusted to remove hair safely and effectively from all areas of the body.

Please tell me what areas of the body can be treated with Epilight?

Epilight can remove hair from nearly any part of the body:

Face, Upper Lip, Legs, Stomach, Ears, Back, Underarms, Chest, Legs, Bikini Line, Feet, Neck, Breast

Tell me about Epilights benefits?

Less painful than other hair removal systems because of an accessory cooling unit for the skin.

Larger areas can be treated at one time.

Epilight works well whether you have light or dark skin, as well as red or blonde hair.

There is less chance of pigmentation change or scarring.

Epilight combines the results of Electrolysis with the speed of shaving.

Epilight can provide smoother, younger-looking hair-free skin on almost every area of the body.

Epilight uses a broad spectrum light that allows treatment of all hair colors, densities and depths.

A number of biopsies have shown that destroyed hair follicles are replaced with normal connective tissues.

Human histological studies confirmed that sweat glands and sebaceous glands are not affected by Epilight.
